Mark John Condon

Survivor, Developer, Inspirational Speaker

Against all medical odds Mark John Condon survived a terrible automobile crash when a drunk driver ran a red light going 50+ mph and crashed in to his car.  The severe traumatic brain injury he suffered put him in a coma for 32 days and in rehabilitation for more than 32 years.

Post injury he earned a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and ever since has repeatedly been sought out for his expertise in counseling TBI Survivors and their family members. At his first public speaking engagement as a brain injury survivor in front of college students, the power of his story was recognized by everyone who heard him.

In addition to other speaking engagements, Mark has been the keynote speaker for:

  • Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado’s Breakfast with the Board
  • The Annual Cathleen’s Cause Gala & Fund Raiser
  • Governor Ritter’s 2009 Brain Injury Executive Order signing
  • Cherry Creek High School’s Safe Prom Week

Mark’s speech educates, enlightens, and changes lives for the better.

His book The Silent Epidemic: What Everyone Should Know about Traumatic Brain Injury is in its fourth edition this year.  He is able to uniquely describe neuropathy from the perspective of a TBI survivor and Licensed Professional Counselor.   He inspires other survivors to overcome their obstacles and helps us all appreciate how brain injury can complicate life.

He won’t let you forget how important everyone is, how everyone in our world is necessary, and how good it is to be alive no matter what our level of abilities are.
