Our Policy Priorities are:
- Prevention of brain injuries
- Improvements to the HCBS Brain Injury Medicaid Waiver
- Ensuring the Colorado BI community is represented as decisions are being made about the Affordable Care Act implementation in Colorado
- Supporting the work of the Brain Injury Trust Fund to increase services for people with brain injury and their families
On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (H.R. 3590). One week later, he signed the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (H.R. 4972). Together, these laws represent the most sweeping health care reforms in U.S. history.
