Utility Assistance

The Brain Injury Association of Colorado is able to assist individuals and families with utility bills (heat & electricity). Our ability to assist individuals and families in Colorado is made possible through a generous grant from Energy Outreach Colorado.

To be eligible for the grant, individuals or family members must be a Colorado resident, provide documentation of a brain injury and must submit a completed application along with a copy of your most recent bill and a copy of your driver’s license. A complete list of requirements is included with the application. Individuals are required to apply for the Low Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) beginning November 1st of each year. You may contact LEAP by calling 1-866-432-8435. LEAP applications can be accessed through their website: www.cdhs.state.co.us/LEAP. If you have questions, please contact Sue at 303-355-9969.
