People House

We offer affordable, holistic counseling to those who might otherwise be unable to experience the transformative power and support of professional counseling. The counseling interns who staff our programs are master's degree level students or graduates acquiring experience for professional licensure with the State of Colorado. They are carefully selected based on life experience and personal development to ensure the highest quality for our clients.

This program is intended for clients who have a need for counseling services but lack the resources for full-priced psychotherapy. Counseling by People House interns is on a sliding scale basis at a suggested cost of $20 to $50 per hour or more depending on ability to pay. We request that clients choose the appropriate fee based on income and life circumstances. We hope all of you who want to improve your personal development, but may lack the financial resources for professional counseling, will consider taking advantage of this program it will empower your life!

We serve the brain injury population in several different areas. In our Affordable Counseling Program we have interns who do Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. We also have practitioners who do EMDR, Craniosacral therapy, hypnotherapy and sensorimotor therapy.

The Veterans Law Office

Our law firm represents veterans who have suffered in-service traumatic brain injuries (TBI) in claims for disability compensation before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). We represent veterans nationwide and throughout the world. In addition to helping veterans obtain service connection for TBIs, our office also helps veterans obtain service connection for conditions secondary to TBIs, such as headaches, and pursue claims for individual unemployability for veterans who are unable to work because of their service-connected conditions.

Located within the Veterans Health and Trauma Clinic (a UCCS HealthCircle community mental health clinic) is the Mind 1 Neuro-Assessment Clinic, which provides Neuropsychological services to the Colorado Springs community. We hope to be able to provide concussion management services in the near future.

We take many types of commercial insurance, including Medicare and Tricare, and specialize in working with military service members and veterans.
