Hiking With BIAC – Golden Gate Canyon State Park

Join BIAC in a relaxing hike through Golden Gate Canyon State Park. Take some time to enjoy some mindfulness in nature as well as enjoy the company of fellow survivors of a brain injury in the surrounding Denver Metro Area as well as BIAC staff. Carpooling is strongly advised and BIAC will have one van to assist with transportation. We will also have hiking poles to rent for the day.

$10 entrance fee

$10 pole rental

Trail Info:

Raccoon Trail 3.4 mile loop with 750ft of elevation gain total. (We will take plenty of breaks to enjoy nature and each others company)

Duration – 1 hr 30min ~ 2hrs

Categorized as “moderate” we will take many breaks

Transportation:

Meet at Mammoth Parking lot to ride with BIAC or speak with Michael Zavala for special accommodations. The van can seat up to 10 participants. First come first serve when you register and check off that you need transportation.

If you would prefer to drive yourself there is a $10 entrance fee for Golden Gate Canyon State Park and parking may be limited. If you know others wanting to join please look into carpooling.

What to Bring:

Water, Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, decent hiking/walking shoes, rain jacket or poncho
