Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado

Brain Injury Support Groups

Why Attend A Support Group Meeting?

Support Groups offer a welcoming space in which survivors of a brain injury can come together with other survivors & their loved ones. Support Groups create a two-way street of giving and receiving where a member can feel supported by the group while also supporting others who may be experiencing some of the same things that they are.

Support Groups can assist survivors & their loved ones in:

  • Understanding brain injury.
  • Finding community resources.
  • Learning self-advocacy strategies.
  • Finding encouragement, hope, and emotional healing.
  • Reducing feelings of isolation.
  • Building a sense of community.

If you are interested in attending any of the Support Groups listed, contact the Group Leader to confirm the information is correct, as we are not always informed of changes.
