  1. My son at age 45 is healing from a severe brian injury and subsequent brain surgery due to a depressed skull fracture and brain bleed on left side of head. He has lost job and is coming to live with me so that I can find services he needs to achieve his most potential in healing from this affected brain. Please let me know agencies that could help me, help him. It’s a miracle he lived through it. We have no monies and live in Ridgway Colorado 81432. I need some direction.

    Thank-you

  5. Good Afternoon!
My brother who lives in Colorado had a board fall on his head at his part time job at a ski resort several months ago.
The ski lodge representative sent him to a doctor but it was not getting better. There the rep sent him to a specialist who ordered further tests. I believe the last test showed dead cells.
He is waiting for the official results. In the mean time the doctor sent him to therapy.
He is a gym teacher full time. The doctor told him he has to be on light duty at both jobs.
He is still is dizzy, has ringing in the ears and is depressed.
He loves outdoor activities and is afraid he is going to lose his job. He is 52 years old.
Articles have been written about him because of the activities he has the kids in gym his gym participate in.
    He also has won awards.
    What are his options?
He is not married and lives alone.
Please contact me and I will forward the information to my brother.

    Thank You

  6. My daughter is 39 suffered a TBI in 1999. Very high functioning person has been in most of the Brain Injury programs in Colorado. She was on the BI Waiver and now she currently is in jail. She was successful in a program in Texas and Colorado brought her back. Because there is no program for her she will go to Pueblo State Mental Hospital. This is not proper care for her. If there is a loophole somewhere I would love info.

  7. My husband had an annorism burst in his frontal lobe
on 09/13. He is still suffering from severe short term memory loss. Hes on disability and wont qualify for medicare till march of 16, we dont qualify for medicaid and we are on CICP, and barely get enough to pay our bills. Are there resources available to us? Thank you, the Jensens

  8. I suffer TBI from an 04 car accident with me on my motorcycle. My leg was crushed in 13 places so I would prefer a desk job. I also know how to type. At the time of my injury I was a Tech 3 for Vail Resorts. I still have substantial knowledge of maintenance but it’s a mindset you either have it or you don’t. I believe I still have what it takes to be a maintenance coordinator in Refrigeration and commercial kitchen equipment repair. I would like for your organization to help me gain enough traction in my Life to ultimately get back to the mountains.
