USBIA Announces 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Status and New Partnership with Association Management Company
The United States Brain Injury Alliance (USBIA) is proud to announce it is now officially a public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.

“Having been approved as a 501(c)(3) organization means that USBIA can continue to focus its efforts on moving forward with our mission to engage the community in preventing brain injuries and improving lives through awareness, prevention, advocacy, support and research,” states Barbara Geiger-Parker, Chair of USBIA.

USBIA Vice Chair, Gavin Attwood, added, “Obtaining 501(c)(3) status is a major milestone for the organization.  It opens many doors for us to expand and fully realize our goals.

USBIA is also excited to announce a new partnership with MCC Association Management.  MCC will assist the leadership of USBIA in a range of areas, including advocacy, social media as well as day-to-day administrative operations.  Working with key stakeholders, MCC will develop a range of practical, hands-on resources to help USBIA members create and grow successful brain injury organizations in their state.

“We’re very excited to begin this relationship with MCC,” said Geiger-Parker.  “It will allow USBIA to have a centralized headquarters dedicated to supporting the needs of USBIA’s growing membership.”

Margaret Roberts, principal of MCC noted, “Our goal is to add value in USBIA membership by facilitating communication and exchange between state organizations.  We seek to build a network of members that are dedicated to effecting positive change through education, collaboration, advocacy and outreach.”
