About Cathleen’s Cause

This event is held in the memory of Cathleen Schmidt. Cathleen fought hard for many years before succumbing to complications from her brain injury. Her family, friends and community supporters continue helping brain injury survivors and their families.

The Brain Injury Association of Colorado is an incredible, caring non-profit organization that provides invaluable resources and services to brain injury survivors and their families.

A portion of the money raised from Cathleen’s Cause will go toward the Bruno/Reinhardt Scholorship Fund, providing scholorships for survivors of a brain injury to attend adaptive recreation camps in Colorado. The Bruno and Reinhardt families have been helping survivors of a brain injury thrive at camp for over thirty years and we are grateful for their partnership!
