Art Class – (In Person)
Art class is for adults living with brain injury to make art together with a clear prompt and great instruction from our facilitator. During the class there will be quiet time to make art at home while connected virtually, and to share what you are working on if you would like to.

Movement with Music (In Person)
This movement involved music therapy class is facilitated by a Board Certified Occupational Therapist who manipulates the elements of music to facilitate therapeutic change through movement.

Tai Chi & Breathwork (In Person)
Come join BIAC for a Tai Chi class led by a physical therapist. Tai chi combines slow and fluid movements with breathwork for a low intensity exercise improving balance, body alignment and core strength. All levels and abilities welcome, modifications will be provided. This practice can be guided with assistance of caregiver, as needed

Adaptive Yoga – Virtual
This specialized yoga class is adapted specifically for adults living with a brain injury in northern Colorado. Props such as chairs, bolsters, blankets, blocks, and fit balls are used to support the stability, safety, and comfort of each participant. Each class will provide the experience of various breathing techniques, mindful movement that includes both strengthening and stretching exercises, and relaxation techniques.

Grief and Loss Group – (Virtual)
This group will provide a supportive and healing environment for survivors of brain injury to move through their grief and loss towards and active engagement in life.

Meditation – Virtual
Join BIAC for weekly meditation lead by a fellow survivor. This individual regularly volunteers, teaches and attends classes at least 3 times a week at the meditation center in Boulder, CO. Meditation can positively impact one’s ability to sustain focused attention and cognitive efficiency

Survivor Stories Writing Workshop- Statewide Virtual
Ever want to share your story but not sure how? Have the desire to write a short story, a poem, a TED talk, or a full book? Brain injury survivor and author Mimi Hayes will walk you through mindful writing prompts and storytelling techniques to help you better understand and share your unique story of survival while connecting to others in the process. No writing experience is required, just an open mind!
