Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado

Cathleen’s Cause Golf Tournament

In early January 2012, our lives changed dramatically when my wife Cathleen Schmidt suffered a severe TBI from a fall at our home. Cathleen was a Type I diabetic and as she was getting some juice in our kitchen in the middle of the night, she lost consciousness and fell down a flight of stairs. She fought to survive during four months in hospital and worked so hard to recover during three months of intensive therapy.

As we cared for Cathleen in her recovery, we discovered the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado, an incredible, caring non-profit organization that provides invaluable resources and services to brain injury survivors and their families. BIAC supported our efforts to spread awareness of the effect of brain injuries and raise much-needed funds for Cathleen’s 24/7 medical care.

Please join us at the 2019 Cathleen’s Cause Golf Event, in honor of Cathleen and providing BIAC with the necessary financial support to continue their efforts for individuals with brain injuries, their families and the professionals involved in their care.
