Kristi is a Physical Therapist whom also facilitates our Music with Movement class. She has experience working with brain injuries, stoke, spinal cord injury, neurologic disorders, orthopedic conditions and more.

What to know about the workshop:

  • Tai Chi combines slow and fluid movements with breathwork for a low intensity exercise.
  • Improve balance, body alignment and core strength.
  • Connect breath and movement to energize and heal the body.
  • Guided meditation through movement
  • Perform seated or standing movements.

All levels and abilities welcome, modifications will be provided. This practice can be guided with assistance of a caregiver, as needed

There is no cost for this class but registration is required as class size is limited

In response to health concerns, this class has a Scent-Free Policy. Scented products such as hair spray, perfume, essential oils, and deodorant can trigger reactions such as respiratory distress and headaches. Visitors are asked to not use these products when reporting to this class.
Classes & Workshops Waiver

I hereby assume all risks of participating in any activities organized by the Brain Injury Association of Colorado (BIAC). I understand that my safety and well-being is the top priority; however, BIAC will not be responsible for and will be forever released from any injury(ies), claims, and/or any other liability arising from my participation in services and programs at BIAC. I also understand that I am responsible for my own safety at the class location before, during, and after the class or workshop.

I may be participating in a class or workshop that involves topics and/or activities that may be mentally and emotionally sensitive in nature. I acknowledge that the class or workshop may carry with it the possibility of illness and/or injury.

I may be participating in a class or workshop that involves physical activity, which may include physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress reduction techniques, and relief of muscular tension. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated.

If I experience any pain, discomfort, or concerns, I will listen to my body, discontinue the activity, and ask for support from the instructor. I assume full responsibility for any and all damages, which may incur through participation. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding my participation in the class or workshop.

I further affirm that I am free to choose not to participate in any services or programs organized by BIAC.
