Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado

Adaptive Cycling Colorado Springs

Join us and learn about a new way to cycle! We are partnering with the City of Colorado Springs Therapeutic Recreation Program to offer participants the opportunity to try out recumbent cycles. These cycles are specially designed to be light and fast and usable by riders of all abilities. The TRP will provide the cycles and helmets – you come ready to enjoy the freedom and independence that comes with hitting the open trail!

  • Ride details: This ride is for new and returning riders. The ride will last approximately 90 minutes in total, with cycle fitment and orientation at the beginning, as well ride breaks during the ride. No cycling experience is necessary! The ride will be on the Pikes Peak Greenway, a rolling, 8 foot wide mixed use trail, mostly in the sun, with some shade and seating along the route. Difficulty level is easy to moderate.
  • Cycles/Helmet: The TRP will provide all cycles and helmets needed for riders. Riders should dress comfortably and bring a narrow water bottle to store in the water bottle holder of their cycle.
