Comprehensive Neuropsychological and Psychological Services

Neuropsychological assessment
Cognitive rehabilitation treatment-Individual Psychotherapy is a relatively brief type of psychotherapy based on cognitive behavioral models, and has been demonstrated as an effective treatment for anxiety disorders (e.g. panic disorder), depression, chronic pain, insomnia, as well as many other types of disorders

Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy is based on an individual's neuropsychological evaluation test results. Detailed individualized treatment to remediate and/or compensate for cognitive deficits seen in testing is provided to patients in an outpatient setting. The treatment is most effective when begun shortly after injury or illness, and continues throughout the recovery period until the patient reaches their maximum functional level.

Pediatric Neuropsychology is a professional specialty concerned with learning and behavior in the context of the developing child. Dr. Kirk conducts evaluations with children and adolescents who have suspected learning, behavioral, and/or emotional difficulties. Through formal testing of functional skills, such as memory and attention, Dr. Kirk will measure your child's brain functions. The neuropsychological evaluation typically involves a clinical interview, paper/pencil question and answer tests, computer tests, and behavioral rating forms which are completed by parents and teachers. The results of the evaluation will be used to identify specific areas of concern and address how to most effectively treat those concerns.

Rocky Mountain MS Center- King Adult Day Enrichment Program

The King Adult Day Enrichment Program (KADEP) is a life-affirming day program for people with multiple sclerosis (MS), brain injury and other acquired neurological conditions. Our mission is to promote the functioning, wellness, independence and life enjoyment of younger adults, ages 18-65, with neurological challenges. Participants may choose from more than 65 weekly exercise, recreational, educational and personal development groups and outings. KADEP also offers plenty of opportunities for socializing and exploring personal interests. Providing weekday respite to caregivers, KADEP serves more than 170 participants and their families each week. Founded in 1991, KADEP is a program of the Rocky Mountain MS Center.
