Apex Disability Law assists disabled individuals in their claims for Social Security disability benefits. We have experience assisting clients at all stages of the process from the initial application, hearings and appeals. If you, or someone you know, has questions about the disability process, please contact us immediately as many of Social Security's procedures are time-sensitive. We have successfully helped numerous clients with traumatic brain injuries get financial and medical benefits and understand the challenges of TBI cases under the Social Security regulations.
Support brighter futures for people with unique abilities through education consulting, advocacy and counseling. Services include school advocacy, guardianship assistance, and SSI application assistance for people with disabilities and workshops and trainings for community agencies.

I help families plan for the present and future needs of their child with disabilities.
I also help families remember planning is about the entire family, not just one family member. Every person in your family has present and future needs and all deserve consideration in planning.
I offer coaching and consulting services, from review and advice on accessible services for quality of life now and for the future, to helping you define your long-term vision and, of equal importance, to supporting you in completing instructions for clarity in your absence.
Because three domains impact your family’s journey, Disability Benefits, Financial Management and Planning and Legal documentation to ensure protection of your assets and your children, I work with financial advisors and specializing attorneys. If you only have one of these territories covered or they are not coordinated, you do not have a fully considered life care plan for your child.
Quality of life planning and funding encompasses many areas of concern for your children including independence, financial well-being, social and recreational opportunities, housing, education and employment.
Because families are often continually overwhelmed by the responsibilities of the present moment, developing a comprehensive future plan habitually is relegated to a perpetual "to do" list.
I will assemble your team to move your family’s planning from your “to do” list to “DONE!”
Because of my own experience with a medically fragile and developmentally disabled child, I became a statewide leader for change. Working within the Colorado early intervention system, private and public health insurance industries, and disability initiatives and medical practices, I successfully:
- Spearheaded 14 CO statutes to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families,
- Served as Executive Director for the Autism Society of CO
- Chaired the CO Autism Commission and the CO Division of Insurance Consumer Council
Now I share the wisdom I gained on my journey with parents and guardians of children with special needs who are also determined to build a brighter future for their loved ones.
We protect the rights of clients throughout the United States. If your claim was denied for long term disability insurance, Social Security Disability, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or Veterans’ Disability Compensation, we can help you.

We created an easy to use, comprehensive Medicaid long term care guide to add to your list of online resources: https://www.seniorplanning.org/long-term-care-medicaid-eligibility/.
The guide is not intended to replace the advice of a lawyer or doctor, but will hopefully educate people about the benefits that may be available to them.
After receiving numerous calls to our office from out-of-state clients, we were surprised to find out that a nationwide Medicaid guide did not exist anywhere on the web. Furthermore, states fail to update their Medicaid pages and even when they do, it is nearly impossible for someone to find what they are looking for unless they are experienced in the matter. We found the information by plowing through state legislation, calling state ombudsman offices repeatedly, and digging deep into government sites.
Each state has individual financial and medical requirements and although there are federal minimums they have to meet, depending upon where you live, there may be extra rules. Our aim in making this guide was to lay the groundwork for possible Medicaid recipients before they begin the application process. Armed with some knowledge, the application will hopefully be expedited and applicants will be more aware of whether they can qualify in the first place, before fruitlessly wasting time.
There is no charge to use the resource and a guide like this does not exist anywhere else on the web. It's been listed by the NIH on their resources page so you can rest assured it's legitimate information (http://clinicalcenter.nih.gov/wecare/resources.html).
