A Positive Note

A Positive Note (APN), a program of the Colorado Springs Conservatory (CSC), is a music making program designed for individuals with disabilities age 12- to young adults. Students are introduced to music making with drums, keyboards, guitar and other instruments in an accessible, enjoyable way, promoting fun social, cognitive, and creative engagement, moving past perceived boundaries of capability. Creative Director, Jorden Smith (a TBI survivor), CSC teaching and professional staff, utilizing an evidence-based curriculum, have facilitated over 115 APN students' music making since beginning in 2012.
