Music Plus – Therapy Services of Colorado

Music Plus strives to provide the most accessible, efficacious, and innovative music and movement services for the attainment of holistic, meaningful, personalized goals.

Why did we create Music Plus?

We believe everyone has something to say, and music makes those messages heard. Whether it’s what’s said through movement and dance, by borrowing a songwriter’s words, or by a memory triggered by a familiar tune - music leaves no one out and tells no one their song is not worth singing.

What is our philosophy of music therapy?

Success comes through commitment to do challenging things. By our language, we play. But we play with purpose, with intention and with research-backed direction.

Rhythm and Rhyme Music Therapy, LLC

I am a board certified music therapist and certified neurologic music therapist. My work with individuals with brain injury includes traumatic brain injury, neurologic disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health struggles. Music therapy can address speech rehabilitation, motor rehabilitation, greater sense of self and community, increase quality of life, decrease poor mood and depression, and increase socialization within isolated communities. I work within a person-centered and family-centered approach and bring aspects of music, drama, dance, and art therapy (creative arts therapies) in my sessions. I have a passion for working with neurologic music therapy centered-clients, and have been fascinated by the brain-music interaction for many years, even before I became a music therapist.
