Boulder Community Health Outpatient Rehabilitation

The Outpatient Rehabilitation for Adults operates within Boulder's Community Hospital (BCH) and provides the most comprehensive approach to rehabilitation services in the Boulder Valley. BCH offers patients of all ages a full range of services including physical, speech and occupational therapies, counseling, case management and nursing treatments. Available on an inpatient or outpatient basis, BCH experts work to address patients' physical, emotional, social, cognitive and vocational needs.

The following is a list of some of the clinical areas where BCH has special expertise: Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders; Degenerative Neurological Conditions (Alzheimer's , etc.); Feeding and Swallowing Disorders; Orthopedic Conditions; Pain Management; Stroke; and NeuroTrauma (Brain Injury). Outpatient Rehabilitation for Adults provides proven, comprehensive and individualized treatment for all types of Brain Injury (BI), from mild to severe.

I am a former special education teacher, a Neurologic Music Therapist (2019, 2020), music therapy research administrator (2020), and Independent Life Skills Trainer (2019).

As an ILST, I specialize in the growth and maintenance of skills in all areas of daily living. Services may include assessment, training, and supervision of an individual with self-care, medication management, task completion, communication skills, interpersonal skills, socialization, sensory/motor skills, mobility, community transportation skills, reduction/elimination of maladaptive behaviors, problem solving skills, money management, pre-vocational skills and skills to maintain a household. These sessions can take place in the home, the community, or online as needed and desired by the client.

As a Neurologic Music Therapist, I provide enjoyable, evidence-based therapeutic music experiences designed with each client's goals in mind. Mt. Carmel VSC provides services to Veterans, active duty service members, as well as their families. Services are low to no cost. Mt. Carmel offers Resource Navigation, Transition and Employment Services, Resume Building, Networking Events, clinical and non-clinical Case Management, Financial Coaching, Food bank/food distribution, Counseling, Alternative Therapies, Support Groups, and more to the Military Affiliated population.
